Awesome Is For Everyone - Samsung ‘A’ Series

Gen Z is often misunderstood as just frivolous, but there's more to them. They're using their platforms to propel a new world—shedding light on injustices, challenging stereotypes, and redefining change. Most importantly, they're doing it stylishly and with joy. Samsung's affordable 'A' Series smartphones, with a super steady camera and long-lasting battery life, empower them to express themselves authentically, no matter who or where they are.

As a Creative Director on the Samsung account for IRIS Singapore, I spearheaded a campaign showcasing authentic Gen Z icons breaking stereotypes and shaping their communities across Southeast Asia through their social presence. The two films below are from Malaysia & the Philippines.

An actress and model boldly challenging gender stereotypes in Malaysia. She wears her authenticity proudly, encouraging others to do the same. Through her work and social media, she cultivates a community centered around practicing and embracing genuine self-expression.

Margielyn Arda Didal isn't your typical skateboarder. Hailing from the Philippines, this young trailblazer gained fame after clinching a gold medal at the X Games Minneapolis 2018 and the Asian Games. Beyond her impressive victories, she's utilized her platform to advocate for overturning restrictive skateboarding laws in her home country.
